Benefits
The Kentucky Suicide Prevention Group is a statewide grassroots organization dedicated to supporting suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention services throughout the Commonwealth. It educates policymakers, communities, organizations, family members, survivors and individuals about best practices in each of these important areas and assists in the development of vehicles to achieve more equipped systems of care and competent practitioners. The KSPG supports and partners with crisis intervention services, mental health providers and other community based institutions working to reduce suicide death in Kentucky and improve the after care of those who are affected by suicide.
KSPG brings together on a statewide level those who are deeply committed to increasing help-seeking among individuals and families before, during, or after a suicide. Members receive a quarterly electronic newsletter on suicide prevention, intervention and postvention activities throughout Kentucky and the United States. Members are notified of upcoming events in Kentucky, annual statistical updates, fact sheets, and other related resources.
